Shane Gillis is one of the many celebrities who roots hard for Notre Dame, so the comedian who got under Nick Saban’s skin wasn’t exactly happy with the result of Monday’s national championship game, in which Ohio State took down the Fighting Irish 34-23.
Gillis, a Notre Dame fan, recently appeared on ESPN's "College GameDay" for the Fighting Irish's CFP game against Indiana, decked out in program gear. He also angered Nick Saban, who was upset by Gillis' joke about the SEC and Alabama paying players before name, image and likeness was legal.
Comedian Shane Gillis is a Notre Dame fan himself, having appeared on College GameDay a couple of times this year to support his Irish. In fact, Gillis recently appeared in an advertisement for Under Armour, praying for Notre Dame to win their first national title since 1988.
