The Seattle Seahawks, in their search for a new offensive coordinator, could employ a rather unusual tactic when it comes to the position. NFL insider Albert Breer is reporting the Seahawks are considering splitting the position between two coaches – a run game coordinator paired with a passing game coordinator.

Following a second interview with the Seahawks on Tuesday, the Seahawks should be well-positioned to hire Hank Fraley if they wish.

Already having interviewed Hank Fraley once, if the Seahawks have sights set on him as their new offensive coordinator, they can speak with him soon.

As the Seahawks zero in on candidates for their offensive coordinator vacancy, they've at least considered a tag team effort to succeed Ryan Grubb.

The Seattle Seahawks continue to go through the process of appointing a new offensive coordinator. To date, three finalists have been identified, all of which interviewed virtually to start, before receiving in-person second interviews. One of those candidates is Detroit Lions offensive line coach Hank Fraley.

The Seahawks now have three front-runners to be their new play caller. Coach Mike Macdonald and general manager John Schneider were to have a second interview Tuesday, in person, with Detroit Lions offensive line coach Hank Fraley about their offensive-coordinator job.

Lions head coach Dan Campbell said on Monday that he's prepared to lose offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn to head coaching jobs, but those might not be the only departures from the team's staff.

The Chicago Bears officially introduced Ben Johnson as their new head coach, and the attention has shifted to Johnson building his coaching staff. There have been several reports indicating the Bears are zeroing in on Dennis Allen as defensive coordinator and are eyeing Darren Rizzi for special teams coordinator (follow along with our rumors tracker).

The Seahawks have yet to hire a new offensive coordinator, but two favorites have emerged with interesting ties for potential additions to the coaching staff.
