Samsung unveils the slimmest phone yet, Ford recalls SUVs and pickups, and Trump demands low taxes for U.S. businesses.
Galaxy Unpacked saw the launch of the Galaxy S25 and an update to Galaxy AI. I sat down with Samsung to find out
Just a day before Google’s acquisition announcement, Samsung was showing off the Project Moohan headset at its Galaxy S25 launch event in San Jose, California. While attendees weren’t able to use the headset (or even touch it, via The Verge ), the hardware was on display for all to see.
The displays are the same as last year: 6.2 inches on the S25 and 6.7 inches on the S25 Plus, peaking at 2,600 nits of brightness and 120Hz refresh rate. The cameras are identical, too. There’s a 50-megapixel main camera, an ultrawide, and a 3x telephoto, with a familiar 12-megapixel selfie shooter on the front.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra is one of the best Android flagship phones money can buy, but is it enough of an upgrade over the S23 Ultra?
The biggest overall changes to the design between the two Samsung Galaxy phones is likely the color options to choose from when making the upgrade. The Samsung S25 comes in Navy, Icyblue, Mint, Silver Shadow, Blueblack, Coralred, and Pinkgold. The Samsung S23 only has four color options to choose from.
I've used all three new Samsung Galaxy S25 phones, and although I haven't spent days with any of them yet, I already know which one I'd buy.
During Samsung's Galaxy S25 Unpacked Stream earlier this week, the new Galaxy S25 Series lineup was announced. They include the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. This new lineup arrives on Feb. 7, but preorders are up already.
Verizon and Qualcomm are highlighting the feature, but Samsung may want to avoid discussing its limited availability and messy behind-the-scenes drama for now.
The new Galaxy S25 uses Gemini, offered by Alphabet's Google, as its default AI engine and also features Samsung's upgraded in-house voice assistant.
Samsung didn't mention any product names, but that XR headset said to be codenamed "Project Moohan" officially made its debut at Samsung Unpacked. Mashable will continue to monitor news regarding specs, pricing, and possible pre-order and launch dates.
